Privacy Policy

Baby Kick Counter ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you count fetal kicks, review movement history, time contractions, and export reports for your care team. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app and how we protect it.

1. Information we process

Local pregnancy & session data. Baby name, due date, twin preference, reminder settings, kick sessions, movement events, session notes, and contraction logs are stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. This data is not uploaded to our servers.

Purchase information. Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify whether the Pro entitlement is active, via an anonymous app user ID. We do not receive your payment card details.

Support email. If you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message (such as device type or screenshots you attach) so we can help.

Notifications. If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Notification content is generated on-device.

2. What we do not collect

3. How the app works offline

Kick counting, history, insights (when unlocked), contractions, and local reminders work without an internet connection. An internet connection is used for App Store purchases, restore, and RevenueCat entitlement checks.

4. Data retention

Session and profile data remain on your device until you clear them in Settings or uninstall the app. We do not maintain a server-side archive of your kick logs. Manage subscription records through Apple.

5. Children's privacy

Baby Kick Counter is intended for expectant parents and caregivers aged 17 and older (or the age required in your region for pregnancy-related apps). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because most information stays on your device, deleting the app or using Clear All Data removes local session and contraction logs. For subscription data, manage your account through Apple.

7. Medical disclaimer

The app is a personal logging tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow guidance from your midwife or doctor, especially if fetal movement decreases or you are concerned about labor.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
